Sustainable Building & LEED Construction

Sustainable design and construction have never been a more important aspect of our industry, and reducing resource usage through energy-efficient facility designs sustainable building methods and materials is about much more than lowering costs. Proper sustainable design and building benefits everyone through reduced demand for resources and building materials, cleaner air and water, lower energy costs, and minimized impact on local ecology. At MB Contractors, we are proud to offer comprehensive sustainable building and LEED contracting services to clients in Virginia and North Carolina.

Expert LEED Construction Contractor

In March of 2000, the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) introduced its Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) building design, construction, and renovation standards. Since that time, MB Contractors has been involved with dozens of LEED construction projects focused on sustainable building and facility operations, and we even completed the first LEED Gold Certified building in Roanoke, VA. A multitude of experience with LEED construction and renovation projects has given us the expertise needed to deliver any level of LEED building certification desired by the client.

Our Commitment to Sustainable Building

In addition to our extensive capabilities with LEED construction, we maintain a larger, company-wide commitment to sustainable building beyond achieving LEED certifications. We now have a dedicated sustainability coordinator whose role is to ensure sustainability is incorporated with all of our building projects. We are proud to have made sustainable building a key component of our company’s own operations, and our goal is to continue leading the way on sustainability and LEED contracting as demand continues to grow in the future.
