Emory & Henry College’s original 1970s gym underwent a major 15,180 square-foot renovation and added an additional 18,625 square feet of space. Areas of renovation include the natatorium, locker rooms, administrative areas, and 1,350-seat gymnasium. During renovation upgrades were made to the heating and air conditioning systems, as well as to lighting and finishes. The addition expanded the facility to include a training and sports medicine center, the Gibson Fitness Center, racquetball and handball courts, locker rooms, staff offices, and a new atrium.
