The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Suite (MRI) at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital was a 5,500 square foot renovation to include the relocation of a 1.5 T MRI machine,
and installation of a new 3.0 T MRI machine.The MRI suite was a 100% renovation consisting of selective demolition, installation of metal stud framed walls, and shielding for
two MRI machines. Revision were done to the electrical, mechanical, and plumbing, and additional work consisted of new floor finishes and casework, and the relocation of a 1.5 T MRI machine and installation of a new 3.0 T MRI machine. Work was performed while surrounding facilities were in operation.
