A Backyard Ceremony

What a fun day for MB Contractors!  We held a ribbon cutting for one of our favorite projects in our own backyard!  The Opening of the latest segment of the Greenway was celebrated today.

Mayor David Bowers recognized many who have worked tirelessly to keep the Greenways.  He spoke of the future plans for the Greenway and the growing anticipation of the ‘Bridge the Gap’ completion in 2014.  Director of Business Development Carissa Mulahn thanked the City for partnering with MB on so many projects over the years, including Market Square and Elmwood Park Improvements.  City Manager Chris Morrill, Parks and Rec Director Steve Buschor, and both City and County Council members were in attendance, along with reps from VDOT, the City Engineers Office, the Regional Commission, and of course the Roanoke Valley Greenway Commission itself.
