Temple Emanuel’s 14,000 SF renovation and 8,500 SF addition included an overall redesign of the building exterior, updated kitchen and library,  a new lobby featuring clerestory windows, new administration areas, a new two-stop elevator as well as expanded school wing support spaces.  To accommodate the elevator addition, the entire building was underpinned.  Specialty finishes included Jerusalem stone, Jerusalem tile, blue stone pavers, high-end wood finishes, bullet proof glass, roof-mounted security cameras, and Zolatone wall finish.  The Jerusalem stone and tile both were imported and special care was taken to match existing exterior stone. Construction activities were coordinated to maintain safe, 24/7 access to the building and as not to interfere with holy day celebrations.
