MB Contractors, Inc. announces Senior Estimator Patrick Calhoun has received his Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional designation for Building Design and Construction (LEED AP BD+C).
Calhoun joined MB Contractors in 2008 after more than 10 years of preconstruction experience with a nationally ranked firm. MB Contractors President Todd Morgan stated, “Pat’s LEED AP BD+C designation enhances our ability to provide our clients with greater accountability in achieving their project’s sustainability goals—whether it is the addition of one green feature or achieving a LEED certification.”
MB Contractors’ green portfolio includes Heartwood: Southwest Virginia’s Artisan Gateway, Blue Ridge Community College’s new information technology building, AECOM’s three-floor tenant build-out in the Wachovia Tower, and the Higher Education Center’s Claude Moore Education Complex, which received LEED Gold certification—the Valley’s highest rated LEED project.
