Beth Israel’s downtown location and close proximity to neighboring properties provided an extremely limited material lay down area for this 11, 223 SF addition and 9,179 SF renovation.  Additions included a new social hall, kitchen, bathrooms, Minyan Room, Rabbi offices, reception area, and a new corridor to the sanctuary.  Construction also included a basement area for future expansion and renovations to classroom spaces.  Exterior work added a new parking lot and playground area.  Beth Israel Synagogue remained fully operational throughout construction and when the role of Construction Manager was vacated, MB was asked to assume the role.
